Although her position in Africa and indeed the world as one of the leading enclaves of printing business remains a subject of debate, not a few stakeholders in the Nigerian printing industry are of the opinion that Somolu commands a respectable position in league of leading printing communities not only in Africa but also in the world.Printing business is indeed transforming Somolu from a residential community to a business hub. From Shipeolu Street to Akeju, Fola Agoro to Bajulaiye, the ubiquitous printing equipment continues to question the facade of Somolu as a residential area.
As result of this Somoluwaves .blogspot.com , is organizing a programme tagged Somolu Printing & Design Expo , otherwise known as Printsho, the main objective of the 2 days expo is to provide a platform that would showcase a complete printing line encompassing paper and substrates, ink, equipment for printing and finishing and other post press equipment, and also to facilitate the industry growth by attracting entrepreneurs from other industrial sectors and investors by showcasing end-to-end print industry technology and in extension the scope for converting opportunities to business.
In the years to come , Somolu Printing & Design Expo aims to unite all the elements of the industry and enhance and encourage growth and innovation there by creating a mature market. The event which is slated for 24th and 25th November ,2018 will feature ,seminar, exhibitions, training and networking.
